MPP Potts co-hosting Anti-Racism Town Hall

Government and community groups coming together to tackle hate in the community

MPP Arthur Potts and MP Nathaniel Erskine-Smith, both from the riding of Beaches-East York, are co-hosting a special Town Hall on racism and discrimination in the community.

The community has been demanding action on a number of fronts that involve hateful language, signs, or activities for the past several years. MPP Potts and MP Erskine-Smith are bringing together key legislators from the federal and provincial governments to share what is being pursued at those levels. The Hon. Michael Coteau, Minister responsible for the Anti-Racism Directorate, and MP Iqra Khalid, co-sponsor of anti-Islamophobia legislation, will sit on the panel. Community activists, including representives from East Enders against Racism and STAMP, will also be participating at the event.

The Town Hall is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend with their ideas, concerns, and suggestions.
